A Chance to Change at Palomar

Partnering for Good

ACTC is proud to be part of this 16-agency strong partnership to increase the continuity of care for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Oklahoma.

Palomar, Oklahoma City's Family Justice Center is in place to provide the highest quality of care for victims in ONE place. With 16 critical agencies located in the same building, victims are not shuffled across the city to receive services, they have services come to them. This built-in safety net allows victims of violence to address immediate needs and stabilize without having to leave the building.

A Chance to Change will soon house one counselor at Palomar located at 1140 N. Hudson in Oklahoma City to help individuals and families cope in crisis and start on their journey to recovery. By providing a licensed clinician during the week on-site, we believe we can have a great impact on:

  • Family safety
  • Development of healthy coping skills
  • Understanding of violence
  • Understanding of addiction
  • Trauma recovery for children and adults
  • ...and more

The ACTC at Palomar Project is completely funded by private, corporate and foundation gifts. WE estimate the first-year cost of this project will be $95,000.
